Izabell Key is a a thirty three-year-old Romanian-born author, entrepreneur, and accomplished engineer celebrated for her captivating storytelling and her debut novel, Shadow Ballet: Betrayal. Born on 23 October 1991 in Iași, Romania, Izabell spent eighteen formative years in Istanbul, Turkey, where she attended Sefaköy High School. Upon returning to Romania, she earned her engineering degree from the Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iași.

Before pursuing her writing and entrepreneurial career, Izabell spent six years as a professional volleyball player. She played for some of Turkey’s most prestigious clubs, including Yeşilyurt, Eczacıbaşı, UPS, and Galatasaray, excelling as a left-side attacker in Zone 4. Her experience as an athlete instilled in her the discipline and determination that continue to guide her success across multiple fields.

In addition to her athletic achievements, Izabell owns a thriving construction company specializing in innovative landscape projects. Her work is widely recognized across Turkey for its creativity and precision, earning her a reputation as a leader in her field.

Izabell is fluent in four languages: Romanian, Turkish, English, and Spanish, which further enhances her ability to connect with readers and audiences around the world.

Izabell’s hobbies reflect her love for creativity and the arts. She paints, sculpts, and engages in graphic and media design, having designed and developed both her company’s and personal writer websites herself. Moreover, she creats her book covers herself. A lover of cinema, she draws storytelling inspiration from directors like Quentin Tarantino and Martin Scorsese. Despite her many talents, she humorously laments not having a nice singing voice.

Her debut novel, Shadow Ballet: Betrayal, is a gripping tale of revenge, loss, and redemption. The story follows Jerry, a man wrongfully accused of murdering his father—a notorious gangster in Atlantic City. Hunted by bounty hunters and corrupt officials, Jerry’s journey intertwines with Lin, a kind-hearted prostitute, in a masterful blend of crime, emotional depth, and moral complexity.
